People Profiles

The Scenario

At MITRE, connecting with colleagues and leveraging expertise from across the company was essential to our business and value. People Profiles was a key part of this, integrating everything you might want to know about an employee: contact details, administrative information, skills, professional experience ('Tech Stature'), recent deliverables, and much more. As one of our most heavily used applications, it constantly needed to evolve with changing needs. Recent updates I designed included:

My Role

I led the product design for this version of People Profiles as well as all its subsequent additions and updates. I collaborated closely with our front and backend developers, graphic designer, and other cross-functional team members as we implemented new features. I coordinated with stakeholders wanting to incorporate their content as well as product owners whose system changes impacted our application. I also regularly engaged with our employee users, actively collecting feedback and ensuring their issues were addressed while balancing requests with the overall user experience and our business goals.
